A single petitioner kneels in the dark and shadow crusted ruins of a once great cathedral, the bones of it reaching to claw at the night sky. In the moon cast shadows she kneels before a shattered altar and whispers a simple prayer before the faceless statue of a nameless goddess...

The night touched fog of the cathedral ruins seem to slither eagerly in response to her prayer. The woman smiled beneath her black, hooded robe, the darkness had heard, the darkness would respond...

AGE LEVEL: Due to graphic violence and adult content, the age rating is MATURE, though this is not a gay/slash game.
INTRODUCTION:
Borne from the Dark is a different RPG in that each PC is touched, though not consumed, by their own inner darkness. The Main theme of the game is characters wrestling with the darkness of their past . The Game will be set in the Gothic Horror world of Ravenloft, a land where evil lives and evil rules. Here, the characters, warped by the darkness of their world and their own sins, must choose between seeking a road to redemption or to continuing the journey that will lead to their own personal Hell.
While the game is already underway, we need some fresh blood to liven things up.
There are two abandoned characters that we are seeking new players for. Some updating will be needed for these characters as they were created when the game was set at 6th level (as opposed to 8th level that the new characters will be at). The first of these two characters is Isabella, a Zarovan half-Vistani Sorceress with a penchant for fire spells and laying curses. She's currently been written out of the game after having her mind -- well, let's just say some Bad Stuff happened to her. (I'm not the DM, so I can't really give more detail than that.) The second character is Jael, a human druid. Jael never actually made it "on-screen," so she's, essentially a new character even though the basics of her character sheet are already available.
There are also a number of playable NPCs (which would technically become PCs, I suppose). Not much detail is available on any of these characters -- you'd need to speak to the DM (probably reached most easily at Borne_From_the_Dark-owner@yahoogroups.com) for more details. This list of playable NPCs includes:
Nori Orefist, female Dwarf (Tiefling) Fighter
Isabel Hunter, female Human Fighter/Cleric of Ezra (A disciple of Anton. Her vows prevent her from intimacy.)
Salome Delacroix, female Human (Wererat) Rogue (from Richemulot)
Katrina Roch, female Human Fighter (from Falkovnia)
Magdelena Vondran, female Caliban Barbarian

Borne from the Dark is a Ravenloft RPG using 3.5 rules. The game is a game with a twist, as all the PCs are beings that are marked by darkness.
Character starting level will be level 8.
Characters may be any NON EVIL alignment
Any class is acceptable.
Character races other than human must be approved first and elves are restricted. Monstrous races must be approved, but will most likely will be approved.
