It is an ass pull for Durkula being knocked out of Hel's Might before it's duration is up, Roy's technique disrupts spellcasting, it doesn't end ongoing spells.

We know the feat is hard to get, which generally means it's something powerful. Simply disrupting a spell (an action anybody can take without any feats or class abilities) hardly seems 'powerful'. Even granting some bonuses on said check (or penalties on a foe's Concentration check) doesn't seem to reconcile with the mystique of this feat.

Admittedly, Rich doesn't usually play with the artwork for eyes without reason, so there's probably some sort of effect going on, but again - do you have the text for the sword?

The strip that introduced the sword's abilities explicitly ripped through the idea you couldn't specify the game mechanics of the sword in-character in the comic, and yet it deliberately left the green energy bit vague. That would imply it's more than just 'undead bane'. And could also be why the guy considered it a potential downside.

And it is an even larger asspull for that ragestate to grant a full heal.

Roy did down some potions too, so we've no evidence that 1) he's fully healed or 2) the sword did it.

That said, it is entirely possible (and deliciously ironic versys a vampire) that the 'anti-undead' power of the sword is that it drains hitpoints from the undead to restore the sword's wielder.

I don't know all the details of what is happening, but I am being entertained.

Also, when is Belkar going to show up to sneak attack Durkon? Isn't he overdue?
