My guess at the next strip:

Low level commoner sees a dagger worth more than he could ever hope to earn in 1000 lifetimes stuck in the ground. Pulls it out, walks away. Goes on to have a great life, maybe buys that hydra barbeque joint, for a nice throwaway joke reference to a previous strip. Wind blows flyer away so Roy never even sees it.[/sblock]

I doubt this "split" will last more than a handful of episodes.

Let's hope that's the case, and not another 150 strips or so.

Yep. I enjoy the character interplay vastly more than the unfolding storylines.

On the bright side, we've got Belkar stuck with Roy, so that should be amusing.

The whole plan seems kind of dumb to me....

And the NPC griping about the wasted teleport scroll...has the thought of looting his captive high level adventurers not crossed his mind yet? A scroll of teleport's peanuts compared to their gear, surely.

He nabbed the wrong guys anyway. Looks like he doesn't have much going through that tiny lizard brain of his.

And that was a kick-ass power word.
