Interesting to note that in #764 there was no relevant dialogue, yet there were actions that propelled the plot forward. In #765 there was plot related dialogue, but no actual movement of the plot.

I am torn between analyzing the juxtaposition of these two strips, and shouting "FILLER!"

I don't get that. Where is it written that Rich has to abide by given plot/pacing restrictions and obligations? If he's unfunny or the strip is unentertaining that's one thing but... "filler?" Filler between what? Just FFT

I am happy with this filler, as it does continue the plot to save her father!
