D&D 5E Opening for new players in existing Hoard of the Dragon Queen game (now full!)

I'm running Hoard of the Dragon Queen here:

But the group has had a few dropouts, so there's space for another three characters. Currently the party includes:

Wood Elf Fighter
Elf Rogue
Human Wizard

I ran a brief prologue before everyone reached Greenest so we're now at level 2, any new characters can join at level 2 as well.

Anyone interested?

Hi, I am new here and new to PbP games but I know 5ed rules quite well. Can I join in? How do u want us to create the character? standard array values? can we use the human variant rule just in case?

I'd be interested in providing a warlock (though I see you need a cleric; maybe a druid would cover healing? if not, a cleric or a paladin is also possible). Variant human ok? point buy?

I'll copy/paste the bits & pieces from the original character generation thread:


The game will be set in 'early 3rd ed' FR so: no Warlocks, Dragonborn, Tieflings (i.e. nothing not in the ye olde 3.0 edition PHB) - this is more for my sake as I'll be using an old 3rd ed Forgotten Realms campaign guide to help with background on this.
I'm happy for people to use 'full PHB' races and classes but they'll have to give me a lot of info about non-Basic races/classes/spells (and be patient if I ask questions!). I don't really want to use Feats as this will be another non-Basic thing for me to track.


In the end I went with the standard array of stats for all characters. Variant human is, I believe, a Feat-based option so I'm afraid you'll be stuck with the standard human option if you're still interested.

Looking good... I did say no Warlocks but seeing as you've gone to the trouble of statting everything out I'll let it slide. :)

We're just waiting for a full character sheet from Orcassam the Dwarf cleric and I'll start working out how to write you into the story.

Currently the party are making their way through Greenest in the aftermath of an attack.

I'm embarrassed -- I read your post more than once, but clearly not well (I'd noticed dragon born and tie fling, but not the first item on your list. Ugh.) Sorry.

If you prefer, I can rejig everything and produce something else, maybe by Monday. No worries -- you had been completely clear, and I just failed to read, it seems. The party now has lots of healing, so if you like I'll find something else.
