Dog Soul Publishing is seeking writers for a new product line called “Dog Star”.
Dog Star is a setting that uses the d20 Future rules, and all the books in the line will be part of the same future history. The extent of Human explored space covers around 150-200 star systems. Most of these systems have been isolated from each other for generations. Now, Explorator teams for the Sirius Corporation have been tasked with cataloguing the contents of the human sphere of influence.<O

</OEach book in the line will be set within this common framework, but each writer will be free to explore almost any subject within reason. We are looking for World Books (detailing perhaps 4-7 areas of a particular world), System Books (with broad references to the varied areas within the star system), Ship Books (which can detail a single ship, class of ship, variants of said ship, or even an entire line of vessels), Corporation Books (detailing the interests of some of the companies that are the de facto governments in certain areas), Military Books (detailing the interests of some of the military forces that are the de facto governments in certain areas), Tech Books (detailing new technological gadgets and equipment), and Xeno Books (detailing certain alien species (both sentient and non-sentient) that have been discovered.<O

</OWriters need to have a very good grasp of the d20 Modern and Future mechanics and must be able to create new mechanics where necessary (as well as know when to break the rules). They must have good writing skills, and be able to create realistic and well thought out NPCs. <O
