I went through the Monster Manual 1 and crammed a picture of every monster into one illustration.

It could theoretically be used to create on-the-fly encounters (cross-index the character level with the area type) although, truth be told, it might not be the BEST way to create encounters.

It is interesting to see the monsters plotted by area (plane, wilderness, dungeon, city, etc): you get a sense of what the expected level is for each type of adventure. For instance, the Monster Manual doesn't provide much challenge for urban adventuring above level 10, and the feywild stops being interesting around level 20.

This is awesome! Now to find a reliable way to convert them all to new monster-maths :)

I couldn't work out what the two colours mean though... is it note anywhere?
