The game that was similar to HeroQuest, but randomly built with tiles, is Warhammer Quest. The base game has 4 characters, a bunch monster minis, and a bunch of tiles & corridors to connect them. Going to town was often more risky than the dungeon because you didn’t get any choice about what happened there. You might suffer from the bloody flux or get a tattoo which reads “Mitey Worrier”.
