There's also more details about the next Star Wars miniature release:

Star Wars Miniatures: Champions of the Force

Man, if this is correct, I am all over this! After collecting hundreds of minis, I *finally* played the minis game last week, and having a Gargantuan figure sounds like just too much fun.

A price tag of only $20 is reasonable. I really don't see what the big deal about non-randomness is here since a dragon mini is likely to be in demand and a big seller.

Hmm...the "Player's Kit" is a 'non-traditional book', but with 320 pages . . .

I wonder if it's a PH bundled with some extras--character sheets, minis, etc.

Thanks for the scoops, Merric and Meds!

Thanks for the scoops. I am interested in the Player's Kit and the D&D Basic Game. Hopefully, the D&D Basic Game will be something that several people on this board have been wanting to see -- a relatively inexpensice product that will be very effective in getting new people into gaming. As for the Player's Kit, I wonder what can be in it. Hopefully, it will help people customize characters to fit their specific visions and might even help DMs out in quickly statting NPCs. (I have seen some grumbles from DMs on the latter topic. Of course, a book of stated NPCs at different levels might be another good product.)

Also, I think that there is now more evidence that D&D 3.5 will be around for some time to come.
