How about a non-faithfull conversion?

Has anyone started a Non-Faithfull conversion of this? Something that keeps the EL's a lot closer to the level of the module?

A quick non-faithful conversion is simple enough to do without changing the creatures involved. I found that one of the things that made the conversion difficult was the sheer number of creatures in some encounters (in D1 alone, there's an encounter with something like 30 ghouls, and another with a mess o' troglodytes) In this case just remove ghouls and trogs until you get to your target EL. You *should* also mess with Aserbides so he's not serving instant death on a platter to any PC that's unfortunate to find him. In cases where the creatures are too weak, just give them some class levels and PrC's (a good example of this would be the bugbears) or advance 'em a few HD.
