D&D 5E Query on the Origin of the Princes of Elemental Evil...

The Princes of Elemental Evil appeared in Fiend Folio in 1981, created by Lewis Pulsipher.

However, they may have appeared in White Dwarf previously. Does anyone know which issue?

(I'm writing an introduction to the history of Elemental Evil in D&D, and this one is bugging me. I've contacted Lewis, and he can't remember much about creating them. )

White Dwarf? Warhammer or older WD?

The original White Dwarf of pre-1981.

When it originally debuted, it was mainly a D&D magazine!

As far as I can determine, the Elemental Princes never appeared in its pages; it's possible that Lewis submitted them, they were snaffled up by Don Turnbull for the Fiend Folio, and didn't then appear!

Yeah, hence why I asked older WD.

I submitted them for White Dwarf. Ian asked if they could be used for the FF instead. I agreed. I don't recall them appearing in WD at any point.
