Question about Gorillions

Does this creature have the ability to Rend twice? It says it Rends with two successful claw attacks and it gets four claw attacks. I have been using the double rend in Nightfang Spire, and I think it is way too much. I am looking for someone to prove to me I shouldn't do it this way so that my PC may actually survive the module.

No, they can only rend once.

If you have the ELH and look up the feat Multi-weapon rend, you can see that even if a creature has 100 arms, only one rend per round is possible.

Yeah. Their advantage is that they only need two of their four claw attacks to hit and still get the rend. In other words, they get to rend a lot!

All-in-all, pretty nasty critters. I've used them.
