It states the following:

Vadalis Griffonmaster

Prerequisite: Ranger, Beast Mastery class feature, Mark of Handling feat
In the final years of the Last War, House Vadalis began training griffon riders—soldiers mounted on domesticated griffons. As a Vadalis griffonmaster, you had a hand in training those griffons and their riders. With your dragon mark’s power, you’ve become an expert rider who is at home on the back of a griffon.

VADALIS GRIFFONMASTER PATH FEATURES
Griffonmaster Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to make an attack, your Vadalis-bred griffon can take a standard action or a move action after your attack. If the griffon uses the action to attack, the attack deals 1d6 extra damage.
Vadalis Griffon (11th level): You can swap your current beast companion for a Vadalis-bred griffon.
Vadalis Ritual Techniques (16th level): You have mastered and can perform the Commune with Nature and Phantom Steed rituals as if you had the Ritual Caster feat.

Your griffon reaches out with its beak and pulls your enemies close. You then seize the opportunity to attack.

Primary Target: One creature

Primary Attack: Beast’s attack bonus vs. Reflex

Hit: 1 + beast’s Strength modifier damage, and you slide the target 3 squares into a space adjacent to your Vadalis-bred griffon beast companion. Make a secondary attack that is a melee weapon attack.

Secondary Target: One creature that was a primary target

Secondary Attack: Strength vs. AC. You have combat advantage against the secondary target.

Hit: 1[W] + Strength modifier damage.
Level 21: 2[W] + Strength modifier damage.

Attack: Beast’s attack bonus vs. AC

Hit: 2 + beast Strength’s modifier damage, and the target is grabbed. Until the grab ends, your Vadalis-bred griffon beast companion can move the target without needing to make a Strength attack.

Miss: 2 + beast’s Strength modifier damage.

Effect: After the attack, your Vadalis-bred griffon beast companion can move half its speed.

But it doesnt give the stats for it.
So are the stats the raptor stats or the MM stats for a griffon?

Ok nvm got it its large and if your wondering also the stats are an attachment.

Kinda cool you can ride your beast companion.

It's in the "Companions and Familiars" section of the Compendium (as are all ranger beasts). If you do a search for griffon it should show up.

Dragon 392 also had rules for horse animal companions, which you can ride.

And I think small races could ride the original animal companions.

I think you weren't able to because unless specified otherwise all mounts must be Large creatures. There was a feat from Dragon 384, Beast Rider, that lets you ride your beast companion if it is your size or larger and at least Medium sized.
