These questions might help to round out your character better:
1. You and your friends are relaxing in the Inn and having a few drinks. While walking past your table the barmaid trips, spilling beer and stew all over you. The patrons all have a good laugh at your expense. The embarrassed barmaid is frantically trying to clean you up and is apologizing profusely. What do you do?
You later overhear a large fighter type, with bulging muscles, armor, and a large axe bragging to his friends that he tripped the barmaid into you. What do you do?
You later meet the same person being overwhelmed in a battle, he sees you and calls for assistance. What do you do?
2. You and your friends are walking through town and the local constabulary and her men walk up to the group. They proclaim that one of your friends is guilty of a serious crime and proceed to arrest her. She claims she did not do it. The punishment for the crime is death. You and your friends could defeat the police force in a fight, but then you will all become wanted persons.
The court system is fair and usually thought to return a just verdict. What do you do?
The court system is notoriously unfair, the judges are for sale, and many people are condemned for the profit to be gained during public executions and tortures. What do you do?
3. You are in a battle against a group of gnolls and it goes poorly. You and your companions defeat the gnolls, but in the end only you are left standing. You have no healing magic to use on your friends so you tend to them and stop their bleeding. They are all still unconscious. While separating your friends from the dead gnolls, you find a very large ruby tied by a leather thong around the gnoll leader’s neck. None of your companions know of its existence. What do you do?
4. At the end of a battle, you and your friends collect the treasure and start to divide the spoils. Within the treasure horde there is a magic item that you really want and it would benefit you more than other members of the group, though it would work for them as well. The problem is that you got a nice magical item from the last encounter and are now at the back of the line to receive another item. What do you do?
5. You are walking alone through a town at night. You notice movement in an alley next to you. Three large thugs are beating a small person furiously. What do you do?
6. You come upon a wounded priest along a road. You have no magic to help him recover. You need to meet the Magistrate in the nearest town which will take you 1/2 a day to get to. Taking the wounded priest will make the trip take a full day.
