Well, to preface this, we're using Monte Cook's basic firearms rules as a base (modifying the rules for them a little bit), and they're just a very new, and very localized technology, though those that live with them have been experimenting with styles of combat and such. The following feats are to just... give more to the firearms user (I plan on proposing the addition of a few feats for thrown and standard ranged weapons too, to not tilt anything too far in favor of the gunners).

Quick-Shot [General]

You can catch opponents off-guard with a light firearm.

Prerequisites: Base Attack Bonus +3, Dex 15+, Quick-Draw, Sleight of Hand 6 ranks, Proficient with a light firearm.

Benefits: Once per combat, on the round when you draw a light firearm (typically a pistol), any opponents you attack with the drawn weapon are flat-footed for the purposes of Armor Class against the attacks. Note that characters with the Uncanny Dodge special ability do not lose their dexterity bonus to armor class for being flat-footed.

Special: A fighter may choose this as one of his bonus feats.

Melee Training [General]

You are proficient in the use of firearms in melee.

Prerequisites: Combat Reflexes, Proficient with a firearm.

Benefits: In combat you can use a firearm as a bludgeoning melee weapon that deals 1d3 if it's light, 1d4 if it's one-handed, and 1d6 if it's two-handed. Using a firearm in this way imposes only a -2 penalty on attack rolls (though you don't gain any bonus from weapon focus for using the gun in this way). You also gain the ability to threaten the area within your reach with a firearm as if you were armed with a normal melee weapon. As an added benefit, you do not provoke attacks of opportunity for using a firearm when in a threatened area.

Normal: You can use a firearm as a bludgeoning weapon at a -4 penalty for using an improvised weapon, though you do not threaten any area if you're using the gun in the proper fashion. You always provoke attacks of opportunity for using a ranged weapon while in someone's threatened area.

Special: A fighter may choose this as one of his bonus feats.
