If you are talking about Alan Dean Foster's book, non spell casters. +2 to dex. Possible rage is hit points are below half.

That book remains a favorite, and comes to mind frequently even decades later. As much or more than Lord of the Rings. Pretty good for a short little paperback for kids (it even has pictures).

Cute and cuddly as they are, the older Quozl leaders really need to be cast as Lawful Evil villians, mastermind category. Secretly, of course.

This being D&D, you really need to consider the various types of half-Quozl that might get created. It didn't actually work in the book, so it would probably need some magical assistance to make it happen (as with the Owlbear), or you could have it not work at all. But at least consider it, it will definitely be tried even if it doesn't succeed.

In the book they were primarily portrayed as Monks with a Lawful bent and good dexterity (and perhaps charisma). Various different types of monks to be sure but the monk idea was core to everyone in their society even the other specialists. But there were so many different quozl, how I'd do it would depend on the character. Some are more priestly with lots of meditation and others more combat, then there were the spies (rogues) and scientists (in D&D maybe magic instead of technology). So you can cover all the D&D bases, but I would keep to monk either as a multiclass, or give some of the Monk class abilities as racial traits.
