OK, So having gone over the rules I have access to more in depth, It seems like engineer might not replace Repair/Mechanic/Machinist, but I don't have the Base book, so I'm basing this on what I've been reading in several sections of UltraTech (Such as Repairing, Toolkits, and software, etc). Also I've discovered that Armoury is actually a collection of skills...
Darwin, would you be able to check on/make a ruling about the Engineering thing, as well as maybe giving me a list of what Armoury skills there are? Depending on what happens I may need to overhaul my skills a fair bit to make my character work how I had intended. He's supposed to be the "build/fix practically anything" guy.

Background:
Growing up as a genius is hard. Growing up as the lesser of TWO geniuses is downright frustrating.
Locke was born second son behind his older brother Luke, and by the time they made it to high school (A few years earlier than expected), It was clear that the only person in town smarter than Locke was his brother. He grew up in the shadow of his brother, who became a doctor and psychiatrist like their father - Brilliant and phenomenal at what he did. So Locke became a hard-working overachiever, developing the things that he COULD do better than Luke - like picking up girls, building things, and even outdoorsmanship.
Locke became an accomplished programmer and engineer in his own right, but never felt like he had escaped his lazy, naturally gifted brother's shadow.. even after getting an an advanced computer of his own design implanted into his skull!
Even though he feels a jealous rivalry towards his sibling, he is still fiercely protective of and loyal to him.

Michelle: a childhood friend who's got a crush on Locke, but is the only girl in existence that he doesn't hit on constantly. An inverted 'friendzone'.
Nina: A Female security officer on the Nebula Harvest whom he's been impressing with his charm and knowledge. They even found an out-of-the-way corridor to set up a target range for him to show off his bow.
