Reincarnation -- XP and ECLs

Reincarnate does not make an ECL adjustment.

This is from the mouth of WOTC.

The reasons cited are:

1) you do not get the hit dice/hit points of the new race
2) you do not get the BAB of the new race
3) you do not get the saving throws of the new race
4) you only get the physical things that a young adult member of the race would get.

Your comments weren't that idiotic without that knowledge.

We (my group) has still added a reduced ECL adjustment to my Satyr Wizard (we all agreed on this fact) because of the fact that a Wizard suddenly gained something like +15 to Hide, Move Silent, Listen, Spot

It's like taking a level of Rogue without having to take it.

I guess in the end it's what makes you comfortable.

As a side note ... there are a lot of things that you have to watch. Natural attacks: if you have multiple in your new form, then you can off-hand with a weapon as well.

Yeah they were. For someone who prides themselves on creating new spells and magic items, I totally screwed the pooch.
