I think some of you are making the assumption that mage armor and/or bracers of armor are not going to be type shield and armor . Which would also prevent it from stacking.
Also on the issue of hitting high AC's with more than your first attack. My experience has been by the time you can make 3-4 attacks a round you usually don't want to. Make that first attack and move away. last thing you want is a dragon power attacking you at +10 for 6 attacks a round.
