Now, assuming you were willing to burn the stardard action to do activate the ring, it seems as if this ring provides for an unlimited number of invisibilities to be casted. Is this assumption correct?

That is how I have played it up to this point, yes.

Yes.

As a standard action, the ring can be used to cast invisibility on you. You can do this as often as you like. Each activation lasts 30 minutes (as a 3rd level caster). If you do anything that would normally discharge the spell (attack someone, etc.) then it goes down until you can again activate the ring.

That's about it.

Yep, this was discussed on the old boards quite hotly, I think the conclussion was it can be used as much as you want, but has to be reactivated every 30 mins (as the spell would run out, as its a 3rd level caster, every 30 mins).
