You can actually do this math yourself by using the player directory on roll 20. Each result contains 50 players per page. Simply multiply the number of pages by 50 and you have the total number of players looking for each game.
There are thousands of gamers on roll 20. If that doesn't equate to some measure of accuracy then I really don't know what else you are looking for. I really don't think you'll ever be able to get a larger sampling of players from any other source.
