RPG Print News – Renegade, Cubicle 7, and More

D&D5E, DCC RPG, Academies of the Arcane, Warhammer, Power Rangers RPG, Savage Worlds, Deadlands Lost Colony, and Spire all have print products out this week.

Dungeons & Dragons 5E gets 1,000 new and revised spells. That seems like a large number to me, but maybe the core rules don’t have enough. There are also more rules like new classes and two dozen map tiles including a wizard dueling room which would go well in DCC RPG or Academies of the Arcane. Warhammer gets support including for Soulbound. New rules are out for the Power Rangers RPG and Savage Worlds gets fantasy rules (revised) and pawns to go with it along with a space cowboy fantasy horror adventure for Deadlands Lost Colony. Spire is also back and also revised.

Note: RPG Print News covers recent RPG releases and some classics, reprints, and sales available from retailers. It does not cover products that are only available directly to customers only through Kickstarter or as print on demand.

From a general overview level, how crazy are the deep magic classes, subclasses, and spells, about on par with existing options or are they prone for abuse?

I got those Deep Magic special edition covers in for my store, and they're so gorgeous that my wife wanted them, in spite of her not playing TTRPGs. My only complaint about them is that to display them in-store, they have NO INFORMATION whatsoever about what they contain. My advice to Kobold would be to put a half-size piece of paper inside the polybag in the back with some product information. Otherwise, I can only sell them to people who know what they are.
