The year is 2085 and the Earth has been at war with the alien Migou, as well as darker forces, for nearly 30 years. The latest iteration, the so-called Aeon War, is in its seventh year and the Migou are driving hard down the Pacific coast of North America.
Fortunately, you and your squad have been deployed at what appears to be the least important spot on the map: along the coast of the Baltic Sea, monitoring the line-of-control between New Earth Government and Migou forces, roughly halfway down the Baltic State of Latvia. Unlike NEG forces on the Pacific, or defending against the Rapine Storm in the east, your unit does little more than patrol the line, occasionally engaging Migou patrols.
Today, however, a routine patrol seems to have gone awry, and your battalion commander has dispatched you to investigate...
