Yes, that one made me embarrassed to be Canadian. Some things, however, just don't translate well out of their time. Just too much has to change from the original in order to bring the material "up to date", which changes it to the point that an original and similar work would have been a better option.

I knew they were in trouble when they changed Flash's sports background to being a long-distance runner. NOBODY gets nicknamed "Flash" in distance running.

I like Dark Matter, though I may be slightly biased in particular because I know the female lead, Melissa O'Neil, from when she won the third season of Canadian Idol many years ago. But with both it and Killjoys I am kind of struck by how they seem to be exactly like our time but with space ships. I like space opera, do not get me wrong, but I would really like to see some science fiction too.
