I like DM Genie. I mostly use it for character-building, but it has tools to roll attacks and automatically subtract HP from the person that was hit, for example. It can also automatically add buffs. It also has a nice following, so there are a lot of people that may have already added the splatbook/adventure/whathaveyou that you're using, so you don't have to make it from scratch.

The con of DM Genie is that it's not free, but I found it very worth what I paid for it.

Yup. I use Vista x64 and it's been running fine. The only problem I ran into is that for some reason it won't let me open the Users/MyUser/Documents directory when I go to browse for folders, so I couldn't create a campaign there, for example. I think it has to do with the fact that DM Genie won't let you see system folders.

I managed to work around it by sharing my Documents folder, mapping it to a network drive, then using the network drive to hold my campaign data. An easier workaround would just be to use a directory outside of Documents (like C:\DMGenieCampaigns).

Dude... it I had my Palm with me I could tell you. I far prefer roleplaying apps on my Palm TX. It takes up less room at the table and the apps are usually free. I've got a great dice rolling program that let's you preprogram the formulas ahead of time so you click the button and you get the result. Very nice if you have everyone's Perception rolls preloaded.
