But more seriously. Take Healing Devotion. It will be 10 points at first level, 20 at 5th and so on. It is not bad at all, and if you have turn undead attempts form somewhere, like Paladin, you heal a sick amount for only one feat invested.

There is also Lifedrinking weapon augment crystal in MIC that lets you heal damage when you hit living enemies (this is also a good to get some other non vampiric enchantments to your weapon). There are three versions of this crystal:
1) Least - heals 1 HP per hit, max 10 HP per day
2) Lesser - heals 3 HP per hit, max 30 HP per day
3) Greater - heals 5 HP per hit, max 50 HP per day

Also I second Psychic Warrior suggestion which also has pretty good ways of not taking damage at all (like Greater Concealing Amorpha, 3rd level power that grants total concealment). He also gets powers related to gaining 5 temporary HP per manifester level, DR 5/- and 15/- (but I don't remember the names though).

You could look at PHBII variant of Druid. Drop the Summon Nature's Ally ability to instead produce a fast healing effect equal to the level of the spell for 3 rounds to all allies within 30 feet.

And if you wanted to add some additional flair go with the other variant part where you give up Wild Shape and Animal Companion to gain specific forms. Since you can design how they look with each time you shift why not give it a unholy/fiendish look to it.

Sacred Healing + Paladin turning

Downside is that it is hard to use in combat. Upside if your a chr build paladin you heal lots of damage.
