Shuriken, Rapid Shot, and Rogues

I was just thinking that since you can throw up to three shuriken per attack, would a rogue's sneak attack damage apply three times or once. And with point blank shot and rapid shot a third level rogue could bluff an opponent and then shoot off six shuriken for a total of 6 + 6 (point blank shot) + 12d6 damage, for an average of 12 + 12*3.5 = or 54 damage. In this case it would almost certainly be worth it to alternate bluffs and full attacks. He'd be rocking the casbah!

point plank is for one its the same as sneck attack its prisichen bast. (it even says it in the discript of the weapon).

Hopefully the revised rulebook will pick up on the d20Modern version of shuriken - a single object is thrown which does 1d3 with a x2 crit, but which can be drawn as a free action (thus allowing full RoF without resorting to quickdraw).

It would prevent a whole new generation of people being confused by these issues :)

Certainly solves the problem of stacking every possible damage-dealing enchantment on a shuriken, too.

Sure, that's only 162,000gp a piece, or 486,000gp for a set of 3. Two sets and a 20th level fighter will break the bank.

throw in ambidexterity and the the two-weapon feats plus quick draw

Two weapon fighting does not reduce the penalty for fighting with two ranged weapons. In which case, the best you can do is -4 with each hand regardless of the fact that the weapon is tiny. I'd stick with rapid shot and see if the DM will use the house rule 'shuriken as arrow' method of drawing said weapon.

Now if you still want to try and get multiple sneak attacks with one thrown weapon, I would recommend the halfling skiprock (S&F) which can richocet off one target and strike another. Unless it has been errated there is no mention that sneak attack or point blank shot damage wouldn't apply on the richocet. Getting two flat footed opponets within 5 feet of each other, that's another story . . .
