Skill Retraining and Multi-class

Hi! Was just wondering if a character is allowed to pick a skill from the class skills of the class he is multi-classed into when he retrains?

For example, a warlock who is MCed to Ranger would want to retrain his Thievery skill (a warlock class skill) into that of Athletics (a ranger class skill).

assuming your mc feat is one of the ones that lets you choose from that class's skill list
then yes
you just retrain the mc feat to itself and pick a different skill

No. You can only retrain to options that are valid for the choice you are retraining.

So if you retrain a Warlock skill you can only choose Warlock skills to train into. You can train into things you didn't meet the prerequisites for when you first trained but not something that is never an option for that "training slot".
NB. This is why you can retrain a heroic feat to a paragon one (as the "slot" is a "feat slot", restricted by prerequisites, but not by innate limitations) but the skill lists are fixed for each class so a "Warlock Class Skill Slot" can only be filled with something on the "Warlock Class Skill List".
The same is true for the "Dungeoneering or Nature" for rangers. You can retrain one to the other but not to any other skills. Ditto "Ritual Caster vs Alchemy".

Nope. You can only have one skill from the class you multiclassed into. You could retrain the ranger skill you received from the multiclassing feat to pick a different ranger skill (that is, if the ranger multiclassing feat allows you to pick a ranger skill).

I generally recommend to pick a fitting background if a player is interested in having skill training for more than one non-class skill.
