Time to confuse things with yet another character

According to legend Poseidon (who appeared about 50 posts back) had a thing with Tyro, the daughter of Salmoneus, which is kind of neat. Salmoneus's brother Sisyphus was a nasty piece of work by all accounts and, having annoyed an entire pantheon of gods, was doomed by Zeus to post in this thread roll a rock salmon¹ up a hill for all eternity, thus inventing perpetual motion and annoying a whole lot of physicists.

Salmoneus fared little better and, having proclaimed himself to actually be Zeus, was divinely smited with thunderbolts.
