Specialists and spell trigger/completion items

I've recently written up a conjuration specialist whose barred schools are evocation and necromancy.

Wands, staves, and scrolls of spells from the barred schools would not be usable by my character, correct?

Are there any spells outside of those two schools and Melf's Acid Arrow that makes for a handy direct damage wand? A 20K+ gp back-up weapon is better than no back-up weapon at all.

Hmm... there used to be some conjuration and transmutation spells, but they have all been moved over to evocation, I think.

Well, illusion has the shadow evocation, but that's a bit high-level for wands.

Useful backup spells out of those schools, altho no direct damage, would probably be Polymorph or Summon Monster.
