I imagine vetting the statement is what caused the delay between the Beyond update and the release of the PDF

The campaign includes a people called Hadozee which first appeared in 1982.

And yet everything folks objected to in the 5E version was new to the 5E version. Can't blame older editions for this one, Wizards.

That is not true. People were digging up stuff from a wiki page with old lore. It was not just the the 5e stuff.

And the WotC statement is talking about them making a mistake now, they are not trying to blame an old edition.

As I said, everything folks objected to in the 5E version was new to the 5E version. And they're apologizing for "our most recent release."

And the WotC statement is talking about them making a mistake now, they are not trying to hide behind an old edition.

Then why is the original creation date of the Hadozee even mentioned?
