Remember that undead are not immune to figment or glamour spells, and a decent number either have low intelligence or are mindless. You think they're going to figure out that the pit that just opened up in front of them or the wall that closes them in aren't real? Or that the black, roiling wall of smoke with the screaming coming from it is an illusion? Not bloody likely.
