I will say that I don't understand why movie school dance scenes always seem to use music from my generation though. I don't need that in order to put me emotionally in the moment and it takes me out of the moment, rather than putting me in it.

Maybe it's just because school dances are generally organised by teachers from our generation.

If so, then things have changed very much from when I was in high school. There's no way that any teacher put "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" on the playlist.

they also start up "damage COntrol" after avengers 1, but agents of shield are still in charge of clean up in Thor2... this movie makes a mess of it all...

It was the US Department of Damage Control and the Agents of Shield cleanup after Thor 2 was in England. That at least doesn't seem like it was a mix-up.
