Stitched Flesh Familiar - WOTC Customer service answers questions...

Ok, today I got around to developing my character and had a question for wizards customer service..
The stitched flesh familiar feat never explicitly says "Your familiar gains the undead type" etc. etc. So I had to call and ask if a familiar would in fact
be undead and therefore able to be turned, a valid target for necromantic presence and might, etc.

"Yes, its undead."

Ok!

That answer helped. Of course, the problem was when I asked this question previously:
"If a Stitched flesh familiar is undead (a) and an undead creature can take the spellstiched template (b), then what HD do I use to determine the Spellstiched stitched flesh familiar's Damage resistance? The casters level as it would appear in the stat block for the Alienists familiar? or the Familiars original HD?"

"Umm. That template is not supposed to be applied to familiars. If you want to make it apply to a familiar, that would be between you and your DM..."

(Cough)

I didnt know what to say.. or if I should laugh.. or.. I dunno.

Really? This is what I got for my question

The question:

"The Animate Dead spell in the Players Handbook v3.5 references the
statistics of the undead created to the Monster Manual. However, this
reference is based upon the 3.0 version of a skeleton and the spell
states that the undead created have statistics only based upon their
size. Given that Skeleton and Zombie are now acquired templates placed
upon a base creature and so a skeleton/zombies size no longer determines
its statistics, perhaps this issue could be addressed? Does the spell
Animate Dead simply add the relevant template to an eligable creature? "

Passing the buck,

"Right now there is no errata concerning summoning undead, but you are
correct, the spell does refer to the 3.0 undead instead of the 3.5
undead. Animate dead is used to animate corpses that have the
appropriate undead template, but since the rules as they are leave a lot
to be interpreted, it will be up to your DM (or you if you are the DM)
as to how powerful an undead someone can summon. Hope that clears things
up."

Seems Strange to me that they don't realize there is a 20HD cap on Animate Dead in the Monster Manual, but not in the spell entry.
Maybe I should have been more explicit in asking for the v3.5 Player's Handbook to reference v3.5 material? And hence an update to the errata.
