I just had a random though... well not completely random, saw a thread that mentioned stoneskin and inertial barrier, then i had a thought.... if a character is under the effect of either, being granted the DR 10/+5, or whatever... is the character able to breach equal DR of other creatures with his or her unarmed attacks, since they are considered natural weapons?

What Crothian said. DR from a spell does not allow you to negate another creature's DR.

Nope, it's specifically mentioned in the DMG under Damage Reduction... lemme find a cite....


"However, damage reduction from spells, such as stoneskin does not confer this ability."

DMG, page 74, on penetrating DR.
