Fistan:

You do not know the name, but you get a very clear look at the livery. The men wear black armor with yellow accents. At first glance, their sigil appears to be a black sword in front of a yellow flame. A closer look reveals that the symbol isn't a weapon, but a black winged snake diving for an orb. The famous logo of The Zhentarhim.

The Zhents are unscrupulous mercenary organization. The best of them, sellswords loyal to the highest bidder. The worst are servants of the criminal underworld who would stab their own mothers for more power.

In recent years, more and more cities have outsourced security to the Zhentarhim. The claim of being soldiers for Daggerford could very well be true. You just don't know for certain.

OOC: Dammit, meant to include an insight check in my last most to see if Fistan could determine the truthfulness of what Xolkin says
Inisght to see if Xolkin is telling the truth: 1D20+3 = [18]+3 = 21

If Fistan is suspicious of them, then he will recommend not letting them in at all.

From his spot in the bell tower Fistan calls down, "Let Xolkin go search the tavern. The rest of your men best wait outside until we can find someone to vouch for you, this town has seen enough."

Dren shook his head, looking sympathetically at Xolkin. “Nae, we’ve no’ searched the ‘ole town yet,” he admitted. “An’ I didnae search the tavern.” He looked to the others and then back to the leader of the horsemen. “Aye, come on doon an’ ‘ave a look at the tavern,” he told Xolkin, moving out of the way of the man’s horse.

Fistan:

Some of Xolkins questions, regarding Lady Nandar and ravens to Waterdeep, do seem a little more opportunistic. However, you are convinced there actually was a woman named Kella staying in the village and that he is very concerned for her safety.

Tranio:

You head for The Nighstone Inn. The entrance leads straight into the tavern area. This room is strewn with wreckage. A giants' rock punched through the roof and landed here, destroying a dining table and a pair of long benches. The remains of a bed and a wardrobe (from the chamber above) lie among the shattered dining room furnishings. Two smaller round tables and several chairs remain intact, and resting atop each table is an unlit oil lamp.

Lying on the floor in the middle of the room is a dead goblin with a crossbow bolt sticking out of its chest.

Suddenly, a large winged snake circles you before flying over to a pile of debris in the corner. This does not seem to phase Xolkin, who darts over to the wreckage and begins frantically searching. Soon enough he lifts out a blonde woman dressed in brown druid robes. She is bloodied, likely from debris to the head, and dehydrated.

"Are there any healers in your group," the sellsword asks as he carries Kella over.

Carolina follows Tranio and Xolkin, though she keeps a safe distance.

Dren cleared the two tables and pulled them together. He rummaged the wardrobe for any spare bedding and made a comfortable place to lay the woman. “We have a cleric and a druid,” the dwarf told Xolkin, handing him the waterskin from his pack. He went off in search of Eldrath and Tranio, or at the very least a healer’s kit.

Tranio's right there.

"I'm a healer," he says, stepping forward to the woman extricated from the ruins. As he does, he wonders idly about who fired the bolt in the goblin's chest. "And someone else has been here, since the building collapsed," he says, pointing at the goblin corpse. "Be careful."

He approaches Kella. Is she conscious? If so he introduces himself and makes her comfortable. If she is unconscious but stable, he casts cure wounds ([roll0] hp healed.)
