D&D 5E Strixhaven's Monsters: Groffs, Mage Hunters, & Oriq Recruiters

It's that time in the D&D pre-release publicity phase where previews of the upcoming book start to appear across the web on various sites. It looks like each site is getting a different college to preview -- Screenrant has Prismari, and Polygon has Silverquill, for example. There are 5 colleges...

So if I wanted to play as a Oriq basically, I could refluff either the Aetherborn(for that Purple Smokey Metal mask look) or the Changeling if I wanted to really feel the blending in.

Have they done that before or is this part of the updated format to Monsters? Cuz yeah it's pretty cool.

It seems like it is part of the update. It is in the giant picture in the OP. I was doing it to make the monsters have a chance against the PCs.

I will also note that the mascots all seem to be new creatures, so they don't just use regular elementals for Prismari, they have ART Elementals, and the rest of the colleges get unique types of creatures too. I am curious as to what kind of creature type and subtype Inklings (monstersity or Elemental or constructs or Fey?), Spirit Statues (probably undead), Pest (I hope beast), Fractals (constructs? Fey? Aberrant?).
