picture this:

The dead have risen to walk the earth and feast upon the living. Cities have fallen. Life as we know it is forever changed. We are now living in an undead world. You've been one of the lucky few to survive through a combination of luck, skill, and sheer brutality. As you walk through the burned out shell of the city you once loved you stumble upon a blank wall and a spray paint can. What do you write? Something funny and pointless? Useful information? A warning for those to come?

Well I laughed for a full minute

I'd probably leave some cryptic but fairly easily translatable cypher that tells survivors where to go for shelter or gathering together; depends on the situation.

For instance if we were holed up in the Washington Monument,

"555 and 5.5 -- by the reflecting pool" or something like that.

After all, who knows if the zombies can read and reason, after all? No sense inviting more trouble than necessary, even if some survivors miss out.
