It follows the Wizard around, so if he sits on it, it will just float there, unmoving. The Wizard must move 5 squares away from it before it will begin to follow.

You can move it your move distance as a move action. So basically it gives you levitation.

Play a slug-like outcast emperor and use it as your floating throne during your exile in a ragtag band of escaped adventurers (cookies for the reference).
Frelling loved that show.
