The Briefcase Board: For Tabletop Gaming on the Go and in Style!

Hey guys!

I am selling custom portable playing boards for pencil and paper tabletop role playing games called Briefcase Boards. Basically it’s a stained wooden briefcase with rope handles that folds out into a Plexiglas playing surface with a painted grid under it. Both of the identical playing surfaces have the ability to slide together to make one big playing surface. The playing surfaces are interchangeable so you can take them out and exchange them for a different size grid depending on the game you play. These are meant for a group of players so please feel free to split the cost with your friends if you want one.

Briefcase Board
When Closed: 21” x 18” x 5”
When Open: 38” x 21” x 2.5”

Playing Surface (The part with Plexiglas)
When Separate: 16” x 14” (x2)
When Closed” 16” x 28”

Storage Space
For Books and Paper: 20” x 12.5” x 1” (x2)
For Markers, Dice, Etc. : 20” x 2.5” x 1” (x2)

To give some reference, a 4^th edition players book is a little thinner than 1” and you can fit 2 of these side by side in one half of the Briefcase Board.

The Standard Briefcase Board: $200 + Shipping Costs

This includes the Briefcase Board with your choice of stain and type of grid. The standard grid includes 1”x1” squares.

Extras
Wood Burning a Name or Phrase: $10

I will burn up to 3 names or phrases into the wood. I recommend burning the phrase, if you get one, into the middle piece between the 2 halves of the board.

Extra Pair of Playing Surfaces: $40 + Shipping

Thank you! They take forever to build but they sure look good once they're finished. I made another one in golden pecan that I use personally for games and love the thing. I just sold the one posted on here.

Also to answer your question about the design, it really depends on the complexity. If it's simple I'm sure I can burn that in. If it's complex I'd ask that you send me a template so I can trace it out and burn it that way. Either way I will let you know. There is always something we can work out since these are hand made. The next prototype I make for myself I am even going to experiment with trimming the edges gold and seeing how that plays out.

If anyone has any suggestions for permanently imprinting a grid onto the plexiglas cheaply and effectively I am all ears.
