Sir Ishmael AC 21, 23hp

Ishmael takes the situation into his head as he spies the bound captives.

"FOR THE WOODEN SWORD!" he cries out as he raises Violet and smites the closest bandit.

Round 5 Begins
Initiative
August
Moraine
Barrin
Ferris
Ishmael
Persephone
Nars
Rodimus (4 damage)
Gorefoot (7 damage)

August drops his crossbow and pulls forth a rapier, stabbing at Ishmael. Ready for him, Ishmael easilly dodges the blow.

Moraine shoots again, striking Nars with a brutal blow for 7 points of damage. The blow could have been much worse, it missed a vital location by the smallest of margins. (Ooc: Natural 20, critical not confirmed.)

Barrin and Ferris move in, attacking Ishmael with their long swords. Ishmael is feeling severely pressed at this point, with three opponents attacking him... he very nearly allowed Ferris to connect, interposing his shield at the last moment.

Shouting a battle cry and calling upon the powers of light, Ishmael responds, dealing 7 points of damage to August.

Persephone looks in, quickly letting off a shot at August. The bolt is deflected harmlessly off of Ishmael's armor.

Nars finds the area immediately inside the window too crowded to leap through, even if he were willing to risk the glass. If he wishes, he can aproach the window so as to be able to carefully enter next round in imitation of Ishmael. In the alternative, he can take a mad dash and jump through the other window, towards the villain who shot him.

Awaiting action from Rodimus and Gorefoot for Round 5.

Percy

"Hey!" Percy shouts, casting her daze spell at August. Then, "Surrender! You're outnumbered and outpowered!"

OOC: What else do we see inside? Somone said hostages.

Ishmael keeps his shield up and Violet ready to strike at his opponents. He devotes the most attention to August, dodging the brigand's blows and throwing powerful swings upon the brigand.

oog: Is Ishmael being flanked? If he is and there's a corner he can 5' step to, he try to step to safety. Otherwise, he holds his position.

Gorefoot takes in the scene inside the inn with a glance. Hostages, his blood, the pain, and Ishmael being surrounded. Howling with fury, he charges the bandits pressing Ishmael, intent on dismemberment.

OOC: Rage. If he can Gorefoot will charge into flanking position with Ishmael on one of the bandits.

+8 to attack (+10 if flanking or charging, +12 if both)

1d10+7 damage

OoC: Can Rodimus use Moraine (I think that's who's closest to him) as an improvised ranged weapon? I realise that it probably isn't something that he can do in one round, but I'd really like for Rodimus to pick the bad guy up and propel him at the others. As a medium-sized creature/object, a human is a two-handed weapon for another human, so that doesn't preclude its use.

Nars feels an impact and glances down to see a crossbow bolt protruding from his chain shirt. He also notes the reckless dives through the window by his companions and the streaks of blood left behind. Seeing the inside of this window too crowded, he runs to the other window and attempts to strike his attacker.

OOC: Nars will move to the non-crowded window and position himself to carefully climb in. If he can reach Moraine from outside (Did she lean out the window to be able to target Nars?) then he swings with his shortsword. Otherwise, he takes a total defense as his standard action for this round. He will climb through the window next round.
