The PCs are the only good creatures able to reach shadow plane, so all these elven-and-human-epics must send exactly them as spies.

Thread necromancy! It was only mostly dead.

What did you end up using? I myself am going to (feedback loop style) design a shadow-plane adventure and am in general curious anyway.

So what'd you use? And how?

I have campaign journal... but in Polish, so I doubt it can be comprehendable for You.
