The next Game of Thrones? Try Dragonlance!

After seeing how Peter Jackson treated the Lord of the Rings books/movies, if anyone tries to do anything short of making Dragon Lance as another Epic Movie Trilogy in the same vein, would be a crime to the source material.

To properly do the Dragon Lance Chronicles, it needs the same budget, the same dedication, the same movie length as LotR.

TV shows give you many more hours to tell a story well. I'd much rather see it the Chronicles told over 36+ hours (3 seasons) than 9 hours. Actually, I'd rather see it longer - even at 36 hours I think you'd be cramming stuff in 5 minutes that deserves an entire episode of its own.

I lean to D&D, say NeverWinter Knights. Just feel the D&D movie route has failed but as a TV show may make it.

It all comes down to, if it is done right. Now that it has been done, people want to get a part of that action, the problem, they don't have clue and so, shows don't make it.
