Those numbers are reasonable, but as exact ones are needed now, here's a class-by-class breakdown. It is notable that the Bards all grouped as "Mages" in the first grouping, and the actual Rogues wound up drifting into the "Fighter" grouping.

217 Total
Barbarians 23 (Including Tyreus and *Dorin*)
Bards 15 (Including Astor)
Clerics 22 (Including *Khavren*)
Druids 14
Fighters 34 (Including Johnny)
Monks 20 (Including *Ansilla*)
Paladins 17
Rangers 18
Rogues 11
Sorcerors 20
Wizards 23 (Including *Aelynn*)

Incidentally, *certain people* need to post their characters in the Rogues Gallery Thread.

The Gods of the other 21 Clerics are as follows

Ehlonna 2
Fharlanghn 2
Heironeous 4
Kord 2
Obad-Hai 1
Olidammara 1
Pelor 5
St. Cuthbert 3
Wee Jas 1

First pass suggestion for splitting NPCs.

a) PCs form their own squad.

b) Two Centuries formed into squads of 10.

c) Century A has 11 squads, Century B has 10 squads

All (A) squads have 1 each barbarian, bard, cleric, fighter, monk, paladin, ranger, rouge, sorcerer, wizard

Century B, Squad 1-3: 1 each barbarian, bard, cleric, druid, fighter, monk, paladin, ranger, sorcerer, wizard

Century B Squad 4-6: 1 each barbarian, cleric, druid, monk, paladin, ranger, sorcerer, wizard; 2 off fighter.

Century B Squad 7: 1 each barbarian, cleric, monk, ranger, sorcerer, wizard; 2 each druid, fighter.

Century B Squad 8: 1 each barbarian, cleric, monk, sorcerer, wizard; 2 off druid; 3 off fighter.

Century B Squad 9: 1 each barbarian, cleric, sorcerer, wizard; 2 off druid; 4 off fighter.

Century B Squad 10: 1 each barbarian, cleric; 2 each druid, wizard; 4 off fighter.

Probably needs some tweaking but its a start and no, I am not going to name them.

I recommend each has century has 10 squads and the 11th squad actually be the HQ section of the century. I also recomaend each centuray be renamed a company and the whole unit be named as a regiment or battalion.

So we have 20 squads, 1 pc/headquaters squad, the 20 are formed into 2 companies of 10 squads each and our entire force is Johnny's Battalion

I think we should have some slightly more tweaked squads for mage heavy, rogue/sneaky heavy, high speed response, ranged, etc.

I plan on naming the clerics :)

The best way to do it would be to create sub squads within the main squad for quick response actions.

I broke the npc's into these further catagories, let me know if that's a problem.

Infantry (Melee capable)
Fighter
Barbarian
Ranger
Paladin
Rogue
Monk

Spellcasters (Cast spells)
Druid
Sorcerer
Wizard
Bard
Cleric

Healers (Capable of magical healing others)
Druid
Cleric

Shadows (Capable of stealth)
Ranger
Rogue
Bard

Runners (Capable of 40+ movement rate)
Barbarian
Monk

Centuries will be divided into 10 groups. Century Alpha A, Alpha B, Alpha C, ect, Omega A, Omega B, Omega C, ect.
Groups will be divided into one each of the said catagories. So 'Alpha A Spellcasters' would address the spellcasters from Century Alpha, Group A. 'Century Omega Infantry' would be all century Omega infantry. Many different formations could be accomplished with the system. For example, Alpha Infantry could be ordered to take up the front, Omega Infantry could be ordered to flank with arrows. Then Alpha A, C, E, G, and I Infantry could be ordered to break rank and charge, with Alpha B, D, F, H, and J Infantry drawing bows and firing.

Single units can be in multiple groups.

Because the groups can degenerate and reform, it's hard to have group captains. This system requires everyone in the group to have discipline and understand that they are part of a whole. Right now it's still in the works, hopefully after getting a base of operations more can be added, such as banners and a mounted unit.

Developing an army can be very difficult. For guidance look at the local milita that was created in the US civil war. I plan on using that as a model. One or two have the initive to recruit people and form then into manageable groups, and the men vote on their (non)commisioned officers.

There are 210 NPCs + 7 PC, hence the 21 squads + the PC squad.

As for names, company is OK century but regiment / battalion sounds a bit grandiose for 200 men.
