My inspiring warlord is better at healing than the tactical. Hopefully post them tomorrow or the day after.

Names for subclasses? Battle Captain and Marshall?

I seem to recall warlord builds that could get pretty close if not overtake to he daily healing ability of a cleric. Required more healing surges though.
It could get close in terms of healing w/in a single encounter, using only encounter resources and surges. There were feats to enhance Inspiring Word. At paragon, Fight On, at Epic, Supreme Inspiration. They essentially 'stacked.' And, yes, your allies could blow 8 surges in one fight if you blew threw it all. The pacifist cleric, though excelled at non-surge healing and at boosting the added healing on a surge it triggered, of course, so the daily healing potential was much greater. It could also end up a little spread-out. The Bard had some amazing late-game healing, too, but, again, nothing to hold a candle to the pacifist.

But, you could optimize for quite different things. You could optimize a STR Cleric for buffing and an Inspiring warlord for healing, for instance, and, even though their classes are notorious for the others' chosen specialty, the specialist will be better. 4e was like 3e, that way: 'player empowering' I suppose, you could call it.
