Is this a players and GMs guide in one book? I'm interested in the "Design complex plots and deadly missions for players to go on with the help of guidelines for Gamemasters new and old." but got lost at "uses 5E system."

It is both a GM guide and player handbook, it gives you everything you need to run and play The Spy Game.

Im finally messing around with this a little bit. I REALLY wanted to like this, and think the 5e rules would be nice for a lite game, which Im currently using Spycraft Lite to achieve.

I do like the way they set up the game, especially the tech and hacking part which should attract plenty of geeks. Im a geek very lite with interest in the area. Specific hacking components and methods are discussed, not just some general, "you are the techie and have a tool kit" roll 15 for success, or whatever. Some may not like the specificity of this section though.

The weapons though... wow.

Apparently a thrown knife has a greater range than a machine pistol.

Submachine guns fire at a DISADVANTAGE at 13 yards!!!! 13 yards!!!!!!! And an assault rifle fires at disadvantage at 17 yards and has a max range of 70 yards!

LOLOL. These are perhaps airsoft /BB gun stats.

Not sure how any of this garbage ever passed editing. Im concerned about the rest of the book too.

They did seem to manage to stuff a lot of radical politics in here though. I guess they were editing for something, it just wasn't a workable game system that had any connection to reality.
