Thrall of Orcus Death Touch ability.

Text of ability:
"Death Touch (Sp): An 8th-level thrall of Orcus can force a living creature hit with a touch attack to attempt a Fortitude save (DC 10 + thrall's class level + thrall's Cha bonus). If the target fails its save, it dies."

Am I correct in that the Thrall of Orcus prestige class (BoVD pp. 71-72) can use this ability for every touch attack he makes-even multiple attacks in the same round-with no limit? Also, since the description of the ability does not specify, would this include both melee and ranged touch attacks, or just melee?

1) just because it got published does not make it ballanced. Some other stuff in that book is way overpowered.

2) I think it would be like a touch attack spell of unlimited uses a day.
Standard action to use, hence only 1 use per round.

Nope.

(Sp) -- it's a spell-like ability. One touch per round, and using the ability provokes an AoO. (Casting defensively, etc.)

If the ability doesn't say ranged, it's not ranged.
