Found in the Thunder Peaks (off the top of my head):
- Dragons (see WotC website Dragons of Faerun web enhancement)

You should also look at the write-up of Augloroasa in Cult of the Dragon [2e], plus some new info in Dragons of Faerun.

This is the long-term focus of one of my PCs - recover Thunderhome from the horrible beastie. As per 2e canon, none of the dwarves escaped to tell the tale, so no one outside Dragon Cultists know that there's a dracolich up there - but that's no fun, so this PC's father is the only living refugee. He's kept the secret, but now he's dying, and the PC has left the party to be by his side. (The player is currently in basic training, character in hiatus, but by the time the group is powerful enough, he'll be back already.) When he comes back, he's going to have a story of a "'orrible, black beast", a rough hand-sketched map, and a thirst for violent dwarven vengeance.

So if your PCs get there, and the hold's already cleared out and habitable, Grimbrew says hi! ;)

The Thunder Peaks (along with the Storm Horns) were also covered in one of the booklets in the Elminster's Ecologies box. Incidentally, the random encounter tables for the mountain ranges contain the tarrasque.

As for dragons, the booklet lists Yiami, a female crystal in the northern Thunder Peaks; Tarlacoal, a male gold; and Nevalarich, a male adult red dwelling in the southern Thunder Peaks. Young white dragons are mentioned to occasionally stay in the northern Thunder Peaks during winter.
