I was browsing some of the threads about Necromancer going out of business, and it got me thinking about "tournament style" adventures - ones with interesting locales, strategic combats, puzzles, riddles, etc.
I rarely purchased published modules, but when I do they tend to fall into that category, as they make great one-shot adventures.
What do you consider to be some of the best examples out there (both old and new).
My personal favorites have been the Goodman Games tournament modules (Crypt of the Devil Lich, Vault of the Dragon Kings, Palace in the Waste).
What other recommendations do you have?
