What Arcane Traditions, Domains, Schemes , etc... Do you want?

gyor

Legend
What Arcane traditions, Domains, Pacts, Bloodlines, Schemes, and other in class specializations would you like to see.

To get the ball rolling I'd like to see Beguiler and spellsinger as an Arcane Traditions, Relic Hunter and Shadow Thief of Amn scheme, Underdark Bloodline for sorcerors, Passion Domain, and Fey, Star, Gloom, Dark, Infernal pacts as well as Slaadi pacts, and demigod or angel/immortal pacts (this last pact would count as divine instead of shadow or arcane magic).

Bloodlines and Pacts haven't been confirmed, but they're a safe bet.

I'm not certain I completely understand the question that is being asked, but I wouldn't mind seeing a return of the Book of Nine Swords styles. White Raven, Iron Heart, Diamond Mind, Stone Dragon, and all of that. Most of the background story for them in the Tome of Battle was pointless and silly, but I always really liked the flavor of those styles. Way more interesting than some of the alternatives when talking about martial/ki fighting styles.

As many and as varied as possible, with some using new mechanics (and likely being their own classes) and others being add-on options. Variety is good. New is better.

I want themes that deal with slaying aka godslayer that kills immortals (4e angels and gods), mageslayers, and some sort of delayed casting for arcane users. As the pervious poster said, make as many as you possibly can heh

I would love to see more unusual bloodlines such as Doppelganger, githyanki, githzerai or Far Realms touched. Hell, anything with the Far Realms would be interesting to see. I would also like to see nastier types of magic that aren't relegated to just evil characters. i could see a good or neutral aligned wizard using some form of blood-boiling spell on a known inquisitor or the like. I would also like to see alternate warlock backgrounds such as a parent touched by the Plane of Shadow. As an earlier poster suggested, more martial arts styles would be great as well. I furthermore agree with the poster who suggested illusion magic that actually plays out like illusion magic. The power to warp the mind is a frightening thing.

blaster mages (I don't care if they're mechanically wizards or sorcerers or warmages or some new class) should not be gimped relative to generalist wizards who focus on non-damaging spells; by the same token, if you're going to have old-school Vancian casting, then selecting fireball or lightning bolt should not be a bad idea

arcane swordsmen should work (I'd prefer a core class ala duskblade or swordmage, but at the very least a multiclass fighter/mage should not be worse than a fighter or a mage)

artificers are cool; you might not want to have PC item creation specialists in the first player's book, but if so, they ought to be in the next one
